August 10, 2010 – NS Rowers compete at Henley

The Nova Scotia Rowing Association would like to congratulate all rowers who attended the 128th Royal Canadian Henley last week in St. Catherine’s Ontario.

Special congratulations to the U23 Women’s Double Erin Pegg and Kate Elbourne (North Star Rowing Club) who finished 5th in the final.

Other North Star athletes that attended were: Jessica Browne, Olivia Newton, Johanna Murray and Makenna Cooke.

Halifax Rowing Club athletes included; Niko MacLellan, Dan Murray, Emily Hancock, Julia Redmond, Connor Booker, Emily Chedrawe and Jack Evans.

July 15, 2010 - Patrick Convey Memorial Fund

In July 2010, the Nova Scotia Rowing Association along with Patrick's family and friends set up the Patrick Convey Memorial Fund in recognition of his passion for rowing and to continue his legacy of encouraging young rowers to achieve excellence. This fund, in conjunction with Patrick's family and Nova Scotia Rowing, is administered by the National Sport Trust Fund - Nova Scotia Chapter. Each year a deserving athlete is awarded a sport scholarship in Patrick's memory to support them with their rowing endeavors.
